How to Report Fraudulent Charges

If you believe you have been a victim of fraud related to your M&T accounts,听notify us immediately at 1-800-724-2440听(24 hours a day, 7 days a week), so we can take action to help you.

A formal complaint can also be filed with the听Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3).

If you think you may have been a victim of identity theft, we can provide you with the information you need to report the incident and to file fraud alerts with the top credit reporting agencies, as well as the FTC.听

Thieves can get your personal information by many means. So, it鈥檚 important to review your account often to make sure all charges to your debit or credit card are charges that you made. If anything looks suspicious, no matter how small the dollar amount, you should notify M&T right away. Never ignore suspicious charges.听
