DETECTING PHISHING ATTACKS
A trained eye can spot the signs of a scam
M&T 萌妹社区 can help you and your staff learn how to detect phishing attacks.

Don鈥檛 get hooked by phishing fraud
Unfamiliar email addresses, typos, oddly worded subject lines and suspicious links or attachments are all common indicators of phishing attempts, whereby cybercriminals pose as someone trustworthy to coax sensitive information from unsuspecting victims. Because bots usually generate phishing emails, they often don鈥檛 perfectly mimic an actual human and can be detected by a trained reader.
A common phishing scenario includes what appears to be a business owner sending an email to the company鈥檚 bookkeeper with instructions to wire money to a specified account and to do so immediately. If, in this example, the bookkeeper inspects the email carefully, they might find common indicators of a phishing scam, including an incorrect 鈥渞eturn-to鈥 email address or typos or language that is not consistent with how the business owner usually communicates.
M&T can help you and your staff learn how to identify phishing emails.
Beware of unexpected emails or texts
Your staff needs to be trained to never click a link or open an attachment on a text or email that they weren鈥檛 expecting. Cybercriminals use text and email to fraudulently pose as legitimate businesses. By clicking on hyperlinks or opening attachments in a fraudulent message, you or your employees could unknowingly allow access to critical information.
